Personally, I'd like to see Lulle-Belle as an event premium and Nina-Belle, Anne-Belle, or Bibbi-Belle as a GE premium.Īrmament: M6 37mm cannon, x1. Of course, Lulle-Belle or otherwise, the best implementation of a Swedish Greyhound would either be as an event reward or GE premium as only four were captured. Playstyle wouldn't be anything different from the US or Chinese Greyhounds unless the version added is Lulle-Belle, which would be able to put out more MG rounds at the expense of a loss of power in those rounds. Sweden only stands to gain from this addition. Sweden isn't all that known for capturing and using enemy equipment, which is what makes these Greyhounds special. Lulle-Belle was modified to carry two KSP M/36s in place of the standard. Their crews even painted the dates and places their Greyhounds saw action on the side of their turrets followed by the text "Call us and we will come". It is here where Swedish troops managed to capture four M8 Greyhounds. Each of these vehicles received a name (Lulle-Belle, Nina-Belle, Anne-Belle, and Bibbi-Belle) and were used with great success against Katanga rebels. The situation developed into the Congo Crisis and the UN stepped in, with Sweden being quick to assist. Following Congolese independence, several Greyhounds found themselves employed by Katangese separatists. One of these countries was Belgium, which distributed them to the Force Publique in the Belgian Congo. ![]() As such, they were marked as surplus and exported or given to a large number of countries. After the war, thousands of these vehicles remained operational and the US didn't really have a use for them. The M8 Greyhound was a mass produced American armored car used widely by American and British forces in Europe from 1943 to the end of WW2. The name on the side combines all four names the vehicles received. Note: The vehicle in this picture is a copy made to represent all four of the captured vehicles. TL DR: An M8 Greyhound captured by the Swedish during UN peacekeeping mission in the Congo.
